The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to your community.

SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regard to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa to the high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally sassa status functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The assistance place designed for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
